Iran’s deadly water crisis threatens their leadership

Zayandeh Rud, once a gushing river which fled through Iran, has now turned into a dried-up battleground. Indeed, an alarming situation for Iran and the rest of the world as well!!!

Last month, instead of water, thousands of Iranians flooded the barren riverbed to protest against the state’s management of water resources. Due to the climate change and water crisis, drinking water is getting worse and the farmers are losing their livelihoods. It is also predicted that Iran would experience more extended periods of extreme high temperatures as well as more frequent dry periods and floods. Some parts of the country may face limited habitability in the future, too.
